« Laser, Plasma, Radiation – Science and Technology » is a non-profit, non-governmental, professional-scientific ASSOCIATION that brings together people with higher education, researchers in the fields of lasers, plasma, and radiation.
The “LPR-ST” Association is a private legal entity without patrimonial purpose.
The association’s objectives:
- To promote science and technology in the fields of lasers, plasma, and radiation;
- Obtaining and disseminating scientific and technological information related to the above-mentioned fields through its own means;
- Publishing magazines, newsletters, organising scientific events (national/international conferences, workshops, exhibitions, round tables, etc.), awarding prizes and rewards;
- Establishing links with similar international organisations on a reciprocal basis. Affiliation with international organisations;
- Establishing connections between higher education in the field and research and industry (private or state-owned companies);
- Organizing postgraduate courses, summer schools, and specialisation internships in the country and abroad;
- Subsidizing, to the extent possible, the participation of some of the organization’s members in relevant international scientific events and disseminating the information obtained;
- Representing the interests of the ASSOCIATION’s members in relation to state institutions that coordinate education, scientific research, and technological development in the field;
- Establishing partnerships with similar organizations in Romania and abroad with experience in training activities in specific fields or in supporting the education system;
- Organizing documentation activities and connecting to international databases and information sources.
